Patrick Gannon, Illustrator
Profile:
Profile: Born in the United States, illustrator Patrick
Gannon received his MFA in illustration from the
Savannah College of Art and Design. Since then, he
has been creating cut-paper artwork for magazines,
children's books, newspapers, textbooks and more.
Having spent his early twenties in Japan, Gannon
has recently returned and currently lives in Tokyo
working as a freelance illustrator for both children's
and editorial clients. His work can be found in Cricket
Magazine and has shown in galleries in Georgia, California
and New York state. The Society of Illustrators Los
Angeles West 41 and 43 annuals include a number of
his pieces.

The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators is the only international
organization to offer a variety of services to people who write, illustrate,
or share a vital interest in children’s literature.
The SCBWI acts as a network for the exchange of knowledge between writers,
illustrators, editors, publishers, agents, librarians, educators, booksellers
and others involved with literature for young people.
The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Tokyo branch offers members
support, information, and education at a local level in mainland Japan.
